Hump Day :)

Since my last post, Jake is feeling much better. Has a little cold b/c of allergies but hopefully some zyrtrec will knock that out. We have been enjoying this awesome weather SOOO MUCH! Man, do I looove me some springtime! I plan on taking some pictures this weekend out by the Easter flowers. My favorite flower ever! Maybe b/c my mom took me to pick them every year when I was little. We would fill our house with them and they smell so good.

Today was the first day I’ve worked since last Wednesday (I think)… I’ve lost track. It’s been nice and I am sooo thankful for my supportive, loving husband… or I wouldn’t be able to spend time with my little love. We’ve had a couple of play dates. One with little Brock... and one with Madley. We have a lot of fun and I just love to watch Jake play with his friends. He is a sweetie and likes to give everyone kisses haha! He also loves to eat… A TON! I will have to stock my friends’ cabinets with groceries again haha! We’ve also played outside a bunch. We took Jake on his first “trail ride” on the 4 wheeler. He loved it. Cried when we stopped. He is such a little country boy – I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Josh and I enjoyed a day together Saturday. We packed food, drinks, snacks, blankets, and the 4 wheeler and went on a big adventure. We had a blast and I can’t begin to tell ya what a perfect date it was! This is my absolute favorite thing in the world to do, so obviously I had so much fun. We went so many places and so far back in the woods – even Josh got nervous! ;) jk – but we didn’t have cell service and we were literally so far back in this valley along a creek that I wondered if we were going to have enough gas to make it out! We did! Ha! Then we drove up to some friends of my family’s house..took an old road (that used to lead to White Rock) that is closed down now back to some fields they own with a little old cabin. I thought I was in heaven! I would love to build a cabin out there and never ever leave! It took my breath!

Sunday Jake and I headed down to Altus to see my Nanny and the rest of the family. We’ve been trying to go down there every last Sunday of the month. It’s nice to visit with everyone. Plus the food is always amazing.

I’m already looking forward to this weekend…another sunny one! YAY!

Pitty Party :/

I am just going to throw a pitty party for myself and for poor little Jake. :/ He was sick all last week. I think he had double sickness too! Tested positive for strep – yet again. He’s going to be like his momma I guess and have to have his tonsils out at one point in his life. Certainly not right now though. Dr said some kids grow out of it and some don’t. He also said some kids are just prone to catch strep while others just catch a cold. Jake NEVER EVER has a snotty nose. I’ve never seen him with one. I think it all runs to the back of his throat – thus causing strep from all the drainage. Stinks for him b/c he it makes him real sick. Fever, sore throat, and just all around YUCK. He won’t eat or drink… which is hard b/c I have to make him… his throat was hurting too bad and he would just cry so hard. On top of that he had a super bad belly ache. Dr also said this could be from the strep throat but this is his third time to have it and he’s never had a stomach ache like this… I said for sure he caught a bug on top of it. It was just an awful week. Needless to say, we stayed home all week and weekend. We missed the horse races but that’s ok… my sweet baby comes first no matter what.

While sitting at work today, Josh calls me and tells me he is on his way home b/c he is sick. Great. I swear those boys give each other their sickness. Mom never gets sick (KNOCK ON WOOD) haha! So off to wally world I go, to get more supplies. Poor boys…. I feel bad for them. They are my whole entire world and I hate seeing them feel bad.

On another note – since last week was a bad week – I fell off the wagon with my healthy kick. I never worked out and ate a ton of chocolate candy I bought Josh for Valentine’s Day haha…. so I started back today. I ran a mile in 10 minutes at the track today… which was ok for me. I hate long distance and the wind was blowing against me about to knock me down ha! I did the mile, walked a lap, plus 15 bleachers, which lead up to 20 minutes of cardio. Josh aka my trainer says I need 20+ minutes of cardio a day to feel awesome. =) It felt good to run and get a lot of things off my mind. I feel much better.


I just had to share this - I loooove my video monitor and I love watching him sleep!

Everyday is LOVE day! :)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Valentine’s Day ;) I can’t wait to order pizza and go home to my sweet boys! I got Jake a new book and an Elmo balloon and lots of his favorite snacks.... I can’t WAIT to give it to him. He is not feeling well today… poor baby. Maybe I will cheer him up with surprises when I get off work. Josh is getting candy and Field & Stream renewal haha! So romantic hu! We went out to eat just the two of us on Saturday night. We tried out Tommy’s Seafood and Steakhouse. It was SOOOO DELISH! Yum! We had a blast... seriously needed a night like that. We forgot about the whole weekend before V-Day and everyone was out. EEEK! What were we thinking!

Last Friday I got to drive up to Fayetteville to see my best friend, Sarah and her sweet baby girl, Ruby. I have not got to see Ruby play… so I took Jake up there to play with her. They are still not very interested in each other b/c of their ages right now. They are still real cute though. Sarah and I had a great visit and laughed a ton. Another much needed day for us!

This coming Friday is Sarah’s birthday so we are heading down to Hot Springs this weekend for the horse races (if Jake doesn’t get sick =( ). I haven’t been in forever, so I am pretty stoked!
