Thankful

 

 

Well it's November already. The month of THANKSGIVING. I love the holiday season but I admit that sometimes I let the hustle and bustle get the best of me. This year I PLAN to be prepared and relaxed and enjoy my time with family. So, for the first time EVER in my life, we have the Christmas tree put up BEFORE Thanksgiving. Yes, I know we must enjoy Thanksgiving and remember this holiday before we get all wrapped up in Christmas. We will. I just want the tree up so we don't have to rush to get that done afterwards lol!

 

Before it turned winter all the sudden, we enjoyed a sunny, cool, Fall day at Natural Dam. Jake was in Heaven of course. Rocks and water.. what else does a boy need? Will enjoyed watching the waterfall. I was just happy to be outside.

OK, he has been working so hard on his coloring. I mean, comes home and colors and gets mad if you interrupt him while he's working LOLOLOL... but look how good he's gotten :):):) So proud!

October has not been fun. I have however; got to love on my babies a lot. Jake has been sick and Josh has been out of town - so it's just me and my boys. It's been exhausting working full time and taking care of the house/kids/etc. BUT we're making it! =) Our routine has just been jacked ha!

 

I got to go on Jake's field trip with him and we had a blast. Friday is Halloween and I am soooo stinkin' excited to take the boys but so sad Josh will miss it. We are all turtles. Go figure ha!

5 Months Old 10-29-14

 

Will, you are the best baby, so happy, so loveable, so sweet. You love your brother more and more everyday. You like to look around and are curious about everything. You have found your feet and like to chew them lol! You hold/grab toys now and chew on those too. You are still breastfed. You tried formula for the first time this week though. We are going to have to do half and half. Momma can't keep up! You liked it, PTL! You are rolling everywhere. You hate cereal and gag when I try to feed you. We will pick that up again some other time. You are huge and growing like you should, so it's ok not to feed ya cereal just yet. You were waking up in the middle of the night for a while but have started sleeping again this past week. I hope you continue that! ha! We love you little boy!!!

I missed September!

What?? How did I miss posting in Sept! We always have so much going on! Maybe that's why :) Jake turned the BIG 4 .. poor kiddo was sick on his bday weekend - so we had to cancel his party with friends. We did a little family deal though and he loved it very much. :) Sweet sweet boy.

 

Josh and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary last month too! :) Sure do love that man!

 

We enjoyed the county fair too! Jake had a blast :)

You are sweetest, most tender hearted boy we've ever met. You are a lover not a fighter. You're a cuddler and a daddy's boy. You are hilarious and crazy. You are a ball of energy who doesn't stop. You are all boy. You think you are a ninja turtle (lol). You love to make people around you laugh. You are the absolute BESSSST big brother!!! You are a chatter box but we love that you talk to us about everything. You never meet a stranger. Our social butterfly. You are the light of our lives baby boy and I can't imagine where we'd be without you! You've shown us a love we never knew existed. You are growing up too fast for us but we are ohhhhh so proud of the smart, loving little boy you are. Happy Birthday, Handsome!

Will,

Oh my goodness, my sweet sweet sweet little man, you are such a blessing! You are happy all the time. You are such a good baby. You are chill and love love love to laugh. You weigh about 18 lbs (I'll know exactly on Thurs at your apt). You have rolled over and are getting very active with your hands and feet. Still love that bouncy chair even though you are about to outgrow it. You are still breastfed and we are hoping to make it to 6 months. Momma's trying hard! You still haven't tried cereal but we are fixing to do that soon. You sure do love your big brother. Everything he does is funny and you search for him when he's in the room and you hear his voice. We are beyond blessed to be your parents sweet boy! Our hearts are so full!

This morning on the way to school, I told Jake his birthday was exactly 3 weeks away. He said "momma is that a long long time?" - I said "nope, it will be here fast and you will be 4 years old!"

WHAT? 4??? WHEN did this happen? Birthdays are emotional for me (my kids birthdays anyway) ... it's a bittersweet day.. watching them get big and turn another year older but also realizing how fast time goes.

 

Jake specifically said he wants a "Ninja Turtle/Watermelon Party" - well ok my sweet child, that's what you shall have LOL! :)

Back to school means chaos. Chaos in the mornings getting everyone ready and out the door, chaos driving to work in school traffic, chaos everywhere. I told myself I was not going to be the yelling mom this year and get my stuff together LOL! 1/2 week down and so far, so good. Ask me next week if I have kept my promise to myself! :) I know you moms feel me!

 

I was a nervous wreck about going back to work after maternity leave, school starting back, and life in general. I mean, who has time to even grocery shop? That's the last thing I want to do after work, and by far the last thing I want to do on the weekends...bleh.

 

BUT Josh and I have a good system down so far, with two kids in the mix now. LOL! I have an amazing sweet friend keeping Will during the day... sooooo beyond thankful for her. Will loves her (his girlfriend) ha! And for Jake, he has an amazing preschool with a staff who has the biggest hearts!!!!!! So this momma feels better about leaving the babes...

 

Here's to a wonderful year with school, work, home life - whatever it may be! We have more changes coming in our lives... so keep my little family in your prayers :)
