We took a quick trip down to Gulf Shores, AL with my mom and
the entire family. It was definitely fast but exciting to watch Jake’s reaction
to the beach, sand, ocean. Oh wow… he loved it so much. It made me so happy
that he had a blast. Next time we will be staying longer! We stayed at a super
nice 4 bedroom condo at The Beach Club. They had a lot of different pools, a
playground, and other neat stuff set up that you could do. We got up early
Friday morning around 2:30 am (so we could at least get a few hours of sleep)
and then headed out. Jake slept for most of the morning… so that was nice. We
arrived Friday evening and played at the beach and went out to eat. Saturday we
hung out at the beach, pool, and the condo. Mom cooked a dinner that night. It
was awesome! Sunday beach and pool time again… dinner that night at the Shrimp
Basket… this place was DELISH! I seriously couldn’t stop eating… and Jake even
tore up some shrimp! Josh ordered red snapper fish… it was excellent too. Very
rushed but very fun trip! The drive wasn’t bad either. I couldn’t remember the
drive from the time we went before… because it’s been ohhhhh 11 years since I
have been! Haha! I can’t wait to go back
when Jake is older though!
So back to work this week… boo! Josh and I are fixing to
really start re-doing a lot of things to the house. We’ve been planning for a
while but now fixing to actually start. I’m excited. I also have Heather and
Cole’s housewarming party coming up… and Jake’s 2nd birthday! I have
a lot of ideas… just need to start working on them! Gonna be a busy next couple
of months.
Jake is winning so far in the KISR contest (I think)… there
is another picture that has as many as him though… we are ahead as of today by
maybe 10ish votes?! Stress me out! lol! So if you haven’t voted – please go

This is a funny story (not at the time.. I was pretty ticked) .. anywho... Josh took a wrong turn and we ended up on the OTHER side of where we were supposed to be :) Well actually the Garmin told us to go this way... I think it ended up being quicker... but as you can see here - we ended up having to take a FERRY! haha! The only reason it was faster is b/c we got LUCKY and the ferry was boarding right when we pulled up! If not, we would have had to wait anywhere from 1-3 hours :) It was neat.. and Jake liked it a lot. So my madness went away pretty quick.
