Where is the spring-like weather going?! What a tease! You know we live in AR when it’s 70 degrees one day and the next it’s fixing to come a snow/ice storm! No wonder my bones are hurting LOL! I am getting old!
We had a great weekend! Friday night Josh and I got to go out to eat for a friend’s birthday. Jake stayed at Kikki’s house for the night. I needed some SLEEP! Saturday I woke up refreshed and Josh and I took a little 4wheeler ride before we went to get Jake. It was so fun and we needed that time together! Just like old times ;) We used to get on the 4wheeler every weekend and just ride for hours! I don’t know how we ever lived without our little sweet boy though; he is the light of our lives! =)

We drove around and ate Subway then went to pick up Jake from mom’s. We ended up staying there til late – grilled hamburgers and hung out. It was such a great day for that! Payton has this “wall of hand prints’ she has everyone do – well she wanted to do Jake’s.. haha it ended up being messy! He got it all over him! So funny… here are some pics….

Sunday was a lazy day… Josh hunted and me and Jake didn’t do anything! My house is so dirty but I don’t care. Who wants to spend their only day at home cleaning!? Not me! I took Jake outside and we strolled around the yard in his stroller haha…

More Milestones....

What a fun weekend! Saturdays are my absolute favorite! I get to spend all day in my pj’s with my two favorite boys! I love waking up to my smiling, sweet, baby Jake… there is nothing sweeter than going to pick him up out of his crib and he sees me and smiles SO BIG! =) MELT MY HEART!!! Josh hunted Saturday…. b/c he loves to hunt with snow on the ground (where we live there is still tons of snow everywhere) haha! Jake and I just played and sat by the warm fire! He is officially rolling over BOTH ways now! Another milestone accomplished! YAY! Josh and I watched him for about 10 minutes trying so hard to get past that one arm and roll on over… it was hilarious! Josh walked outside to get some more firewood and of course, Jake decided to finally roll over when daddy walked outside! Ahhh- I told Josh “YOU MISSED IT!” He said “I knew he would do that as soon as I walked off”… Jake showed his daddy how he could do it again though! He was rolling all over the living room! So fun!

Saturday night I took my sister Payton to see Jason Aldean! That was a fun concert! The Jane Deere Girls, Eric Church, and Jason Aldean! We sat on the floor, row 9! We had good seats but the people sitting around us were VERY BORING! Who goes to a concert and just stands there…?? Payton and I danced our boots off! =) Good times! I was extremely tired when I got home though! Ha! Sleep is a precious thing to me these days and I don’t get near enough of it!

I am really hoping this week flies by! Tomorrow night I am going to see my friend, Elizabeth’s new house and we are having pizza for Sarah Ward’s birthday! I love getting together with the girls! We don’t see each other that much and it is nice to visit!

Friday the 28th is the BIG DAY! My very best friend is finding out if she is having a girl or a boy! We think GIRL! I am going to cry so hard when she calls me! Just b/c I know what she is feeling…. the nervousness, excitement, happiness, etc…. it’s a wonderful mixture of emotions! I bet the days drag by b/c we are so excited!

It's Cereal Time!

We took sweet little Jake to his 4 month dr apt yesterday. He weighed 16.8 lbs! Yep, he's a hoss! Big boy! He is 90th % in weight and 90th % in height! Dr said he looks great and is doing wonderful! Jake had to get shots yesterday too and he didn't even cry. He made one little whimper and I picked him up from the table and he laughed! I think it hurt momma more than Jake ;) He's such a good baby!

So we are at 4 months and that means he gets cereal! YAY! Maybe this will help him sleep more! We tried it out last night and he of course made the worse face and spit it all back out! HA! He will just have to learn to eat from a spoon! We will keep trying!

4 Months later.........

Gosh! I’ve been meaning to post a new blog forever now! Who has time to do anything with a new baby!? Now I’ve started back to work and REALLY don’t have time to do anything! HA! Welcome to “working motherhood” hu!?

So here are some highlights on what has been going on around the Johnson house. Jake will be 4 months old on Saturday 1/15/11! He is doing something new and different every day it seems like. Especially now that I have gone back to work, I pick him up in the evenings and think “you are making a new noise today”! AHHH! It’s all going by way too fast! The 12 weeks I was home with Jake was like blinking an eye… and now here I am at work! Everyone told me to cherish every second b/c it goes by fast – well now I understand! I already miss when he was soooo tiny and curled up next to me. I love his age now though. He is smiling and laughing and smiles at me when I enter the room… talk about melting my heart! I love that little man!

Jake rolled over the week before I had to go back to work! I was SOO excited but cried too! I was happy he did it for me instead of anyone else getting to see it! I hate to miss milestones now that I will be at work during the day and he will be doing all sorts of new things. =( BOO!
Our first Thanksgiving, Christmas and NYE were wonderful with Jake… I know every year will get better and more fun too!

Jake’s new noise lately: “the crow call” and I wish I could upload a video on here… but I haven’t figured that out yet! ;) He is hilarious! He does it nonstop! Cracks me up!

Josh and I have been busy busy busy! Working and taking care of our little man, plus things around the house!
