FINALLY!

I finally did it! I can check college graduate off my list now! After so many years of going to school and quitting and starting back, I have finally accomplished one dream I thought I never would. So thankful for all the support of my family and friends. Especially my husband and mom who have helped me more than I can say. A lot of people may not think it’s a big deal but it is in my family. I may be the first one to have a bachelor’s degree in my family. We celebrated and had a great day… lots of memories. The ceremony was awesome. The speaker was awesome. I seriously felt like he was speaking to ME the whole time, and even Sarah said she thought that. LOL! He talked about being a “C” student through high school, barley making it through, but from support of his family he accomplished much more. Then he read a poem at the end of the speech that was about a little boy whose eyes were always watching – always seeing what you are doing. Basically to be an example – and to be something great for them. Yes, I was bawling my face off, right before I had to walk across that stage and receive my diploma. It meant more than anything in this world that Jake was sitting there watching me graduate. Although, he may not understand it, I can tell him one day all about it. I can tell BOTH my boys they were there J Jake kept saying “Mom, I love to watch you graduate.” Haha!

On to baby brother, he is not budging. I’ve been at 1 cm for 3 weeks now. LOL – little stinker. Just like his big brother….not wanting to come anytime soon. My next apt is the 22nd and I will be at the end of my 39 weeks. I am trying to decide whether to induce again. I mean, I don’t want to have a 10lb baby. Jake was 8.6 and I am much larger this time… whew! I’m ready to breathe again.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day ... we went to church and then mom's for lunch... just relaxed for the day since I didn't have ANY HOMEWORK! YAY! :)

APRIL?!?

I feel like I just wrote a blog about it being March – now it’s April! Time is flying. The Johnson household has been SO BUSY I don’t even know where my head is half the time. In books mostly lol! My sweet unborn baby boy still needs a name! We’ve narrowed it down somewhat – which is good for us. We are last minute kinda people, ha!
Jake is so great. I cannot believe how big he is! Talking and acting so much like a bigger kid than he is, so smart, so hilarious, so loving, and so ornery! He is getting more excited about being big brother. I’m anxious for him to meet little bro (of course me and Josh are too) – Jake is the most tender-hearted kid I’ve ever been around. He’s going to be the best sibling.  He is still loving his new school and has yet to say “I don’t want to go” or cried about going. It’s such a blessing and huge relief to find a school that he loves and that he is learning so much from.
I don’t normally act all mushy and what-not but I have to mention my awesome husband… he’s been nothing but amazing during this crazy, busy, stressful time. I’m pregnant so I whine a lot about everything especially school right now. He never gets mad and usually only comes back at with me with positive and encouraging comments J He has definitely been my rock even MORE-SO these last few months. I’ve been getting an encouraging text almost every single morning. Thank you God for sending this man into my life! J
I’ve been looking and planning out my April schedule and it’s going to be insane. School first of all, then once I can get caught up (if that’s possible) – I am going to start working on baby brother’s stuff. HA! Good thing I’m having another boy, just get out Jake’s clothes and WASH away….and I’ve made a list of a few other things I’m going to need. SO much to do, SO little time.
We got to visit the Inman’s this past weekend…it was so nice to see all 4 of them ;)

This weekend we are celebrating Josh and Heather’s birthdays… probably dinner somewhere.

Sorry this is all over the place! LOL! That's how I am these days ;) Here are some random pics.....

31 & Blessed :)

Most of y'all know I like to celebrate my birthday all month long :) This year, obviously I was excited to eat and eat some more. So that's what I've been doing. I still have plans to party it up this weekend (Friday at work and Sunday at Nanny's). More yummy food!

I received a lot of sweet texts and messages on my birthday. I sure am a lucky gal and sometimes I take that for granted. I've been drowning in my misery of homework, tiredness, swollenness, pregnancy, just life in general of a full time working momma. I had 3 texts back to back to remind me just how blessed I am and what an exciting year 31 will be for me. I admit, I teared up sitting at home with a smile on my face, thinking YES - this is going to be a great year! College graduate, bringing home a new baby boy, we will be a family of 4!!!! House hunting or building still in the works and many more exciting things to come... different job opportunities, I don't know but I know God has a plan for me and my family and I'm excited to see what lies ahead.

Jake had to be in the picture lol... headed to a retirement party for a guy from Josh's work... (parties we attend are different the older we get HAHA!)

My birthday lunch date - I took off work to spend the day with this sweetheart!

Melinda got me this cake... and decorated it... she knows the way to my heart with those little Cadbury Eggs :)

Birthday night.. Josh surprised me and invited a few friends to join us for dinner at AJ's :) I thought it was just going to be us two... he's a sneaky one :)

Hope everyone is having a great week... I wore flip flops today even though it's like 40 degrees :/ My feet hurt... I had no choice!
