Summing it up...

I've literally tried to post a blog every time I'm at work (yes I blog in my spare time at work) ... but have been TOO busy and haven't had any extra time to do anything. So this will be a blog in pictures, summing up our Summer 2013 since my last post :)

Hello homemade blackberry pie. Hate to brag but this may have been the best pie I have ever made! I also might have ate most of it by myself :) It's not real pretty but it sure tasted amazing.

School started yesterday for everyone including me. I'm already overwhelmed. I promise I will try not to gripe all semester lol! 

A certain little boy is fixing to turn 3! So excited about his birthday.... this is the first year he is super into it... he asks me almost everyday "is my birsday next momma?" so sweet.... he even picked out his cake and told me where he wants his party haha!!! WHEN did he get so big? Omg! *tear

I'm so ready for Fall weather, football, chili, deer hunting, bonfires, 4wheeling, etc. I LOVE FALL!

Busy busy...

I have neglected my blog! So much has been going on. Life is busy and I know it is for everyone.  I am just trying to stay caught up with everything. School is going pretty smooth. I finished one summer class with an A. Exciting. My other class is still going on and I will be in it until the first of August. I am hoping to even pass it! lol! It’s pretty awful. I can't remember if I have already said this (sorry if I did) but I found out the rest of my school is paid for.. pell grants and a scholarship I wrote an essay for (GOT IT)! So stoked! Josh is doing good, just staying busy at work. Jake … ohhh sweet little Jake, he is doing better than ever. Growing up so fast and it makes me sad but happy too. He is my best little friend in the whole world. He is in this stage of not wanting to go anywhere without me or wants to go where I am going. He used to cry having to leave g’parents houses but now he leaves without a word, just waves “bye”. He gets funnier by the day. His personality is awesome, really. He is outgoing and funny but has the biggest most tender heart. Speaking of funny - this morning I was cleaning his face off from his cinnamon roll and he said "owww WOMAN" - omg it made me laugh really hard! You think he's heard his daddy call me "woman" before? LOL!  His school is going really good and the kid learns so much going two days a week. This is his first week at school wearing big boy undies (had to brag for a minute) and he has done really good so far. He has been wearing them at home with me for a while now doing super awesome but I was nervous to send him out there, away from me in them! I gotta let him grow up sometime ha! The boy loves to sing. Like sings about everything. I love hearing him. He can be so ornery at times but as soon as we are around other people (not immediate family) he calms right down and uses his manners. Good boy :).. His biggest thing he gets in trouble for is torturing Lola. We are constantly saying “Jake put her down, Jake don’t lay on her, Jake leave Lola alone”. Lola takes it, bless her sweet little heart. He always responds with “but she’s MY dog” or “but she’s my best frand”. Cracks us up.

We had a really good holiday weekend. Went to some cookouts and swam and shot fireworks. Wished it didn’t have to end. Here are lots of pics....
